Personal Trainers and Fitness Instructors

Amy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from East Stroudsburg University. Prior to entering the fitness industry, Amy worked in the financial field but has spent the majority of the last ten years being a stay at home mom.  She holds certifications in Primary Group Exercise and Spinning.  As an avid athlete growing up, fitness has given her the opportunity to continue her enthusiasm for healthy living.  She has a passion for fitness and has found that exercise in a group setting can not only be motivating but a powerful tool in creating the foundation for a healthy lifestyle.  Expect energizing music, challenging workouts, positive energy and endless encouragement when you come to her classes.  She enjoys cooking, running, and spending time with her husband and three kids.
Becky believes that yoga is for everybody and every body. She originally signed up for teacher training to deepen her personal practice and to accurately answer friends’ questions about poses. Becky is trained in the Hatha Yoga tradition, so you’ll find the combination of building strength, flexibility, and balance in her classes. She also likes to experiment, so there may be some surprise props! Becky encourages questions before, after, and during class, and strives to make yoga fun, safe, and accessible.
Brooke received her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology (Exercise Science) from Penn State University.  In addition, she is a Certified Exercise Physiologist, which not only allows her to train apparently healthy individuals, but also those with controlled cardiovascular, metabolic, and pulmonary diseases, as well as other health conditions/limitations.  Brooke has been involved in athletics her whole life, playing soccer all the way through college as a member of the Penn State Women’s Club Soccer Team.  This passion combined with her love of helping others led her to pursue a career in health and fitness.  Brooke is currently enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where she is studying to become a holistic health coach in order to better serve her clients unique health/nutrition needs.  She is passionate about helping others achieve their health and fitness goals, and would love the opportunity to work with you!
Janet (AKA Boom Boom here at the center) was pretty much our very first client. We first met her on our facebook page when she was one of our very first “fans.” She followed us through our build out and was there cheering us on the very first day we opened our doors. Since that time Janet has been a loyal Wholistics client for almost 4 straight years now and has shown incredible dedication towards her health. Janet is often seen doing “double headers” with back to back exercise classes and she is admired for her strength during workouts. We knew Janet would be an incredible asset to our team and asked Janet if she would pursue formal certifications so that she could lead some of our most popular classes and here she is! Janet’s professional music background brings a new kick to kickboxing class 😉
Katie is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor with an advanced certification in special populations, equipping her with the precise knowledge, skills, and abilities needed in order to safely and effectively train individuals with cardiovascular diseases; pulmonary diseases; metabolic diseases; immunological and hematological disorders; orthopedic diseases and disabilities; neuromuscular disorders; and cognitive, psychological and sensory disorders. She has a bachelor’s degree in communications and while communication and exercise seem to be as opposite as can be, she finds the presentation and creative skills she acquired in her undergraduate studies have helped her tremendously in the fitness world. With her positive energy and “no two workouts should be alike” philosophy, Katie creates exercises that are tough disguised as fun! Her favorite part about her job is watching her clients find their inner strength along with their outer strength. Katie is excited to be a part of the Wholistics mission to empower women. Aside from fitness, she enjoys cooking, television, pop culture and laughing.

She has a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from Temple University, has trained as a PA certified First Responder and EMT, and spent over 10 years on stage with an interactive children’s theater. Almost a decade as a pilates trainer training over 1000 clients has given Paula a wealth of experience. She has worked with all sorts of injuries and conditions, including a variety of “itis’s” such as bursitis and tendonitis, knee and hip replacements, foot and ankle surgeries, the ever-present neck and shoulder tension, and pelvic floor weakness. Acupuncture

Kerri Neubek is a Licensed Acupuncturist in PA and Nationally Certified. As a former art director and graduate from the University of Illinois, Kerri enjoys making a difference in people’s health and lives which is why she went back to school for a second career at the Midwest School of Oriental Medicine in Chicago. She has been a licensed acupuncturist now for 15 years and finds great joy in helping people improve their health. Kerri also completed two years of post graduate work in counseling psychology to round out her education as a professional in a helping industry. Although her goal as an acupuncturist was to specialize in treating anxiety and depression, she found that she could address almost any problem with acupuncture – regarding the body, mind, or emotions.Kerri’s approach to treating a patient is truly whole. She incorporates a system known as Nutritional Response Testing to bring the body back into balance. Based on the concept of internal energy, fundamental to traditional Chinese medicine, it is a noninvasive way of evaluating the body’s imbalances, finding the underlying causes of illness or non-optimum health and assessing its needs. It involves testing the body’s responses when applying slight pressure to a large muscle, to provide information on energy blockages, the functioning of the organs, Nutritional Deficiencies and Food Sensitivities, among other things. It can also be used to test the body’s responses to herbs and other remedies to identify the proper nutrients needed to restore health. This method is also used during Allergy Elimination, which allows Kerri to find and desensitize one to items that the body shows a negative response to. Often there is an emotional component to physical disorders that acupuncture works beautifully for but muscle testing is also a great tool to assist the body in moving back into a balanced energetic state.

What Clients Say

“Training with the girls at Wholistics has been the best move I could have done for my health. Exercise and Commitment are two words normally for me that would never define me! I have been training with them for the last 7 months and never felt better. I never stayed this long with any program before which is a testament to them. I get up early 3x a week and look forward to each workout. I know each one is carefully planned out and always new and different to keep me motivated. They focuses on mind and body and always lends encouragement for me to meet by goals. I have worked out in gyms, tried weight loss programs and even had personal trainer before but I never found success until now. Their knowledge and commitment for all their clients has earned them bragging rights! They are true professionals who care for the well being of all their clients. I also realized having female trainers can be beneficial to meet my needs mentally and physically. I most recently tried their cleanse which I have to admit I was skeptical. I went on this 21 day venture and lost 8 pounds. It was just what my body needed to clean out all the toxins that were blocking my success. The first 3 days are difficult as you try to adjust to prepare your meals and figure out what will work for you but then, as told to me, you will adjust and feel great as you complete the program. Friends and family could not believe my determination . My son joked with me … Mom, when will you eat REAL food again. But, you see all along it is REAL food but a different way to manage what you’re putting into your body. I highly recommend Wholistic Fitness!”
