Paula is a Certified Pilates Reformer trainer and mat instructor, with specialized training in back and spine care, and pre- and post-natal care. She has a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from Temple University, has trained as a PA certified First Responder and EMT, and spent over 10 years on stage with an interactive children’s theater. These experiences have shaped her pilates teaching style into one that focuses closely on correct form and precise execution, and uses vibrant imagery and individual modifications to customize each client’s workout.
Almost a decade as a pilates trainer training over 1000 clients has given Paula a wealth of experience. She has worked with all sorts of injuries and conditions, including a variety of “itis’s” such as bursitis and tendonitis, knee and hip replacements, foot and ankle surgeries, the ever-present neck and shoulder tension, and pelvic floor weakness. She finds that most new pilates students share the same apprehensions and self-doubts, and enjoys teaching small group reformer classes as a way to facilitate empowering her clients as they share each other’s successes. Private training is a powerful tool that she also offers, with one or two clients getting her personalized and intense attention.
Paula has extended her professional reach as an Herbal Wellness Coach, helping clients go beyond movement and exercise to find their inherent wholeness. She keeps a professional blog at paulasherbals.weebly.com. She is an avid reader, a beginning knitter, and a somewhat reluctant jogger as well.
